Would you like a "virtual you" in the cloud?

with the advent of siri and s-voice... i'd like to experiment further.

let's suppose you have a small java app you talk to it, it uses AIML sets to communicate back, but here's the
catch, the data gets sent to a server it stores your data and replies back, and all it does talk to you collecting
all your sentences, styles essentially capturing the way each of us talks.

mix social networking in, collecting as much personal info on you as possible (one day passwords) have it look
at your likes dislikes, what displeases you everything...

have all of your information data mined and stored and duplicated in the cloud, you continue to use this app
which you just talk to like you would with siri, weather, where you go, places you visit, merge it in with
your text messages you send, how you talk to people...

and then one day the application you talk to like you would with say siri on the iphone....

no longer acts like siri... instead it acts like you, the user would get surprised and ask it questions, the real person
would then correct it, it goes into the cloud.. after a year or so using "yourself" as your own person agent, making
events and times setting dates, the more you interact the more it learns, it behaves like you, sounds like you, and when
it does not, you tell it not!

but this is when it gets a little weird.

it's in the cloud, who's to stop you, using "yourself" to answer your text messages "as you" looks up information for you
if you're bored, entertain me, it'll bring up a website closely related to your own personal likes and dislikes, it'll have
the ability to fill in your home address, text message family and friends, then using the phones sensors you have a virtual
you...

i'm not sure how far you could go with this concept...... how much you wish to teach it to become like you, is entirely up to
you, the cloud would log what you like to eat, drink, where you go, what you do, it remembers all... eg, where was i april 2nd 2013...
including gps location where you went (after all, it knows where you go and what you looked for anyway) how long, eg going for a shower,
it knows when you get back (how long you take), your eating habits, social habits friends, who you meet...

now all personal data stays personal if your virtual you is access by anyone else.. the software could be used to make decisions based on
how the real person would act... (eg every bad choice made is logged into the cloud so if it ever happens again, it's a no go...) so even
minor actions could be carried out automatically by software in an almost like human way...

would you train your "virtual you" once you're dead in theory "anyone" on the internet could get to have a conversation with you and get to know
what a person spoke like in 2013 your great great grand children could question their great great great grandad on what he liked and what he
disliked.... something that we'll never have the luxury of.

I prefer the "someone else app" ..
but I can imagine that one wants to cross breed SIRI with a personal hero e.g. giving Siri the voice /behavior of 007 ...

You just kind of reinvented the caprica TV series theme. It only lasted one season though.

and it was a good season lol..

But this is actually "doable"

Yes, it is doable. The more you rely on digital technology, the more it is part of you. When I can't find my cell phone (happened a few time) I feel I lost a part of me. All my contacts are there. I don't remember most of their numbers and I can't call anybody or receive calls. My pictures, Arduino references via dropbox etc.

hmmmm, interesting idea you gave me...

"mini me" in your phone if you lose it, it will attempt to try and find you lol

All my contacts are there.

One reason I have nothing in my phone, the other is that I really don't have any contacts

I sometimes turn my phone off to save battery and forget to turn it back on for a week.

I can strongly relate to this.

Rather have my toes cut off one by one than spend a week without my phone, just as traumatic for me lol

Actually there are times when I feel that could ditch computer-style technology entirely, a big call for someone who's been into computers for over 30 years. The trouble is my two main interests are embedded processing and photography and they are both entirely dependant on computers.

I swear though that if my laptop gives me any more shit it's charcoal drawing for me.

Be even worse if you then found out that your phone got lost because it really didn't want to hang around with you... Heck with that lame dude, he's so boring...
