Writing data to Usb Memory Stick

Some time ago Nick wrote an article on Writing data to Usb Memory Stick. I found it in the Playground under 'Storage'.

I have tried to make this work and do not know how to wire in the memory stick to the USB port. I have a Duemilanove board, so the connector does not mate with the stick.

Does someone have this working with the '2009' board?

Hi Checkers1811,

As far as i understood you would need a "Vinculum"chip as the ftdi chip on an Arduino isn't a usb-host. See page 19 in the datasheet linked from the playground article for a picture.
