WS2812 amber color

Hey. I want to use some WS2812 leds as the turning signals for my car, but the problem is that I cant get the amber color from the leds. Does anyone know what the RGB values are to get that color?

Red, and a little bit of green.

Manufacturing tolerances mean you have to figure it out for your strip.

I'd just tinker with it. I played around until I had a CPP file of colors calibrated for an RGB backlit LCD panel. Thanks for being a amber-turn-signal believer. A lot of folks out there think red ones are better in rear.

Despite the fact that they are illegal.

Thanks all for the input. I will try to play more with it an see if I get it.

I'm from Romania, and here you can only have amber turning signals. I know that in the USA you can also have them red.

I don't know of anywhere where red is illegal. Red or amber are legal colors everywhere that I'm familiar with.
Mostly, the light housing just needs to be DOT/SAE cert.
And there are cars that come from the factory just with red.

Most of Europe. You can only show a flashing amber light to the front or rear of a car not a red one. Yes I know the break light will flash on and off but that dosn't count.

Green ones for para medics and vets, blue ones for Fire, Police or Ambulance are the only other colours that can be shown front or rear.

Clearly I am an American where my America-centric perspective is rule 1 of being American :-[

There is a whole other world out there.

I drive a VW, and I do know that it didn't come from America's hat or America's pants (Canada and Mexico, respectively). I just have no idea where it could've come from, though. Some magical land out past the water somewhere, I reckon.

I honestly can't recall if my turn signals are amber or red. I have side markers that are amber, but I mean I can't recall what lights up in the taillight cluster. Hmm....

Flashing! I think red should be fire men, blue for police. The paint on fire engines is best bright chartruese. Red is classic but isn't as visible. Blue for police is a no-brainer here as the color is associated with police. Green and amber are free for anyone to use. Non-police security use green and amber and construction and maintenence uses flashing amber.
