WS2812B and neopixel library

i just purchased a WS2812B string. seems different than what is shown on the tutorials. it looks like it has ground, power and just one data connection in the middle. the tutorials i found are showing the fast led library. I would really really prefer to use the neopixel library. is this string compatable with the neopixel library?

can someone give me the line with the setup parameters for my sketch?

Yes your strip is compatible of course. Connect sufficient power (either 5v or 12v depending on the strip) and use common Ground (to the Arduino). Connect the data pin to the Arduino via a 470R resistor. The neopixel library comes with examples in the IDE go to File->Examples->Adafruit Neopixel and select one like FI strandtest
