Ws812b FastLed compile error for Lolin Wemos D1 R1

When I try to upload a fastLed sample sketch onto my WeMos D1 R1 developement board, I get the following error:

Error compiling for board LOLIN(WeMos) D1 R1.

It is working when I upload on my arduino Uno though...
I am using the First Light example, which I correctly formatted for my WS2812b strip with 9 pixels. Has anyone had this problem before or knows how to fix it? I am using IDE 1.8.19

Do you think that it might help us diagnose the problem if you posted your sketch, using code tags, of course

I will share the code, I did not think it was necessary as it was just a basic example code, but I will add.

The code compiles for me with no errors using the Wemos D1 R2 mini as the target

That's not the error. It's just a message to tell you there has been an error. The actual error will be somewhere above in the errors pane of the IDE. At top-right of the errors pane there is a "copy errors" link. Click that and paste into your next post, between code tags.

@PaulRB @UKHeliBob I am not sure what had happened, but I tried reuploading my code today and it uploaded and worked perfectly! Thank you for the help!
