I've searched, but found nothing definitive. In Leau of a bluesmirf gold, could I use the Bluegiga WT41 BT module? Do they communicate ok?
Elsewise, are there any other high-power arduino BT modules?
The BlueSmirf gold is class 1 (100 metre), the silver is class 2 (10 metre).
I suppose part of this as well, is the BT of my phone...If my phone is only class 2 (I don't know if it's 1 or 2, but assuming 2), what gain would I get of a class 1 BT module vs a class 2?
What about using the Bluesmirg Gold SMA? http://www.sparkfun.com/products/158 That way I could attach my own antenna? I believe it's the same antenna as most Routers- and antennas exist as high as "claimed" 14 Db gain omni-directionally.
