XBee and Arduino Wireless Shield

Hello,

I am interested in using XBee 900HP S3B Pro Modules with Arduino, and I saw the Arduino Wireless Shield that takes XBee modules, but what I don’t understand is most of the XBee modules require around 250mA of current while Txing and the Arduino Uno boards max current from VCC pin is said to be 200mA so what gives?

Also I can’t find any documentation about whether or not the pin out of these S3B modules is compatible with these shields or if they are the same footprint as S2B modueles.

so what gives?

The Arduino. It gives up and dies.

Also I can't find any documentation about whether or not the pin out of these S3B modules is compatible with these shields or if they are the same footprint as S2B modueles.

All XBees have the same footprint.
