Hey,
I've just started messing with Xbees, and I started doing simple things in AT mode. However, my next little experiment was to use them in API mode. I wrote my Xbee on the Explorer dongle to an API Router, and ever since, XCTU won't read or recognize it. I don't know why that is happening, and I am beginning to be concerned. Any help would be very appreciated- thanks.

Does anyone have a possible solution? I don't know where to start and I'm genuinely concerned.
Is there a way to hard reset an Xbee?
I mean I don't know what I could have done to damage them- I have never done anything but plug them into anything but USB ports on my computer.
Have you used the "discover" butten instead of the "add" button? this can help if you changed anything without knowing.
Then you should try to activate all possible port parameterns for your search (all baudrates, stop bits, ...). This takes a bit more time but makes sure you get everything.
If this doesn't work you can try the tool button (located at the top on the right) and select XBee recovery. Then you have to choose your Xbee modul and try to upload a new firmware.

Hey Till_Mann,
Thanks for the response! I've actually only ever used the Discover mode. They aren't even showing up.
