I have been watching the YouTube video, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKVNmA8C6m8&feature=edu&list=PLA567CE235D39FA84) but during the video he use Putty software to configure the XBee boards. I am unable to get past the +++ command as I do not get the response ‘OK’. I get nothing. I have used the X-CTU software and run a Com Port Test which says that the device is connected.

Help Please, been on this for hours and seem to be going around in circles

It's far simpler to configure them using X-CTU. Why don't you?

I am a novice to this. The details from the video were;

First XBee
ATMY1000
ATDL1001
ATID1111,
WR

Second XBee
ATMY1001
ATDL1000
ATID1111,
WR

If this is possible how?

Pick the COM port that the XBee is attached to on the first tab.

Then, pick the 4th tab (Modem Configuration). Pick the Read button. The main window fills in with data read from the XBee. Select the values you want to change (MY, DL, and PAN ID). Enter new values. Then, pick Write to save the changes.
