Hi, I attach my XBee above the Arduino Shield without the ATmega chip and jumpers in outwards position. I test it with X-CTU and change the sleep mode in 10 seconds and time before sleep 1 second. But after that I get continue to test it with X-CTU software but the PC is unable to communicate with it after I have pressed "Test/Query" button. This happen to me numerous time before. Could the X-CTU is unable to detect the XBee which is sleeping?? I've tried on the newly bought xbee module and other type of xbee explorer, the same thing happen again. What's wrong???
Could the X-CTU is unable to detect the XBee which is sleeping?
Sounds like a reasonable assumption to me. Have you looked at the data sheet for your model XBee to see how to wale it up from the particular sleep mode you have put it in? There is more than one sleep mode.
I've just configured how to reset used xbee under the website:

It's possible that via x-ctu, the pc will not be able to detect the xbee which had been set to certain sleep mode before.
