Xbee with RC receiver, possible??

Hi,

I'm looking to send commands from my Xbee(from my computer or arduino) to the RC Helicopter. Is this possible? Can anyone point me to a website or project where this has been done.

Essentially I want my Xbee to take the place of my RC transmitter so I can control my RC Helicopter serially through my computer. And I don't want to have to put another Xbee on the helicopter.

On the back of most rc transmitters is a pc interface socket. I'd look into that.
