Hello, forgive my ignorance, but I just recently started digging into Xbee hardware for use to operate a rover wirelessly (feedback with a UAV type camera) and I've noticed that a lot of Xbee devices are obsolete, and a lot of tutorials are from 2016 and earlier.
Has something replaced the Xbee? The Aruduino Uno with WiFi perhaps? or is that for something else?
Check out ESP32 and ESP8266. They are cheap light-weight solutions and they can programmed with the Arduino IDE.
