Hi All,
I am using a Arduino Uno with the USB 2.0 Host Shield to pair an Xbox 360 controller via the USB port. I read the commands from the controller and then send it via Rx/Tx to an Arduino Mega 2560 to process the commands. I know I can just skip the Uno and apply the Host Shield to the Mega but right now I need to use the Uno as a receiver for the Mega.
The problem I am having is on power up of the system, the Xbox controller does not pair with the receiver. It just continually blinks and searches. However If I have the Arduino Uno connected via USB to my computer and then start up the system, it pairs right away with no issues. I can then remove the USB cord and it stays paired. At first I thought there may be a problem with the voltage going to the Uno to power the Xbox receiver but that doesnt seem to be the problem since once I disconnect from my computer it stays connected.
I have racked my brain for a good part of 3 days now trying to figure this out. Only thing I can think of is that there may be something in the code level from the Mega that is interfering with the receiver plugged into the Uno? But I am not sure where to look with that? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
