has anyone used the CREE XHP50.2 LEDs? The forward voltage is ~11.6V @ 1.5A, and if using a 12V source, this would mean that the appropriately sized current limiting series resistor (@1.5A) would be 0.2267 Ohms...
That's a ridiculously small resistor value. Where would I get a resistor with such a low value and high accuracy?
Am I coming at this wrong? How do you build a current limiting circuit for a device that has such a massive voltage drop of its own? Since the resistance value is so low, is it even necessary to use a resistor? is there a better method?

Thanks in advance!
