I'm looking to make a nice set of xmas lights for my office. The plan so far is to have a small box containing the Arduino and power supply that chucks out 3 24v lines to 6 clusters of LED's (7 100ma 3.4fv LEDs with a LM317T on each cluster, 23.8v@100ma), switched by the Arduino.
Unfortunately this does require some long cables from the control box to the clusters.
Does anybody have a good reason why this either wouldn't work, or might be a bad idea? And also, is it going to be possible to use PWM to control the 24v outs to the clusters?
Regards,
