Great about your late dad's age, 101 !! and his old 'ham radio' callsign N1UF.. must check on my old 'logs' to see if he and I 'worked' each other..! Yup' , as you say, there must be something in the exposure to RF, . Sounds like you, are doing just fine at 78 yrs,and your ,'continuing personal involvement in a LONGitudinal study of red wine ' Hi HI ( Check), ! ..... . OK , re Jack Purdon, and your further involvement with him and 'C' for Arduino.. Way above my league , although I do appreciate your remarks about the 'table top' experimenting.. Greatly appreciate also, your offer regarding the kit, etc , many thanks , but really Terry,I do not think I am the 'bloke' to do the job, someone ,with a much keener mind would fit the bill much better..
By the way; should have mentioned, , reading the reviews on the "Beginning C for Arduino" certainly made a great impact on enthusiasts, Excellent job !
