yet another project with ov7670 proof-of-concept...in fail state

Please help me to test my ov7670.

which pointed me to this code:

and I am going to load it to my Arduino UNO R3 to run the ov7670 camera with a simple test, aiming to have at least 1 image taken and sent to my PC, this is not a lot to ask even being a newB right? :slight_smile:

The problems:

  1. I’m not sure if my ov7670 is the one that will work for it, I provide the image of the camera, hopefully you will tell me how much chance I have or any other suggestion

  2. could you please point me to a tutorial where I can create a standard Arduino library from the code above? There I found main.c, i.e. standard c programming and as I understand, this is not to be done with Arduino IDE (the only thing I know about). Maybe I’m wrong and there is a tutorial to use that code with Arduino IDE and I even don’t know how to google it.

I have not seen successful capture with that camera without the memory chip. Get a module with FIFO or use a shield http://www.arducam.com/tag/arducam-shield-2/

I better stick with “Get a module with FIFO”, could you please have a look to what I chose to buy (it is noted with AL422 and FIFO):
