Yun doesn't connect to WiFi automatically (Other Yun's Wifi)

I've uploaded the same sketch to two yun's. It's the standard bridge sketched combined with an mc522 mifare rfid reader sketch.

I've configred one yun (slave) to autmatically connect to the master yun's wifi. It only does it once, after setup. The next time I power them up, the slave yun doesn't connect to the master.

They have the same time and timezone....

Any idea's??

I wonder what the sketch looks like.

Are you allowing the one running the access point enough time to boot up and get the AP operational before the other one tries to connect? It takes 1 or 2 minutes.

Thats a good Tip, I'll try that.

I will upload the sketch after my presentation, in two weeks. where can I best share it so other people who want to use the yun and the mifare reader can use it?

Waited 5 minutes, doesn't help! The master hotspot is nicely up and running, but the slave doesn't connect. The slave also create a hotspot.

Only when connect to the slave , run setup again (by choosing the master wifi again), it reboots and connects. The downside is that I lose my sketch!

Perhaps adding WPA2 security helps?

EDIT: right, turned them both off, turned them on on the same time, now it works. Somehow, after a longer period of being powered down, it forgets its settings. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated!

I can confirm that it does not forget its settings. I suppose the hotspot wifi didn't show up in time for the slave one to connect to it
