YUN ok except serial upload failing

Hi My YUN works ok except one issue: If I try to upload a sketch via serial port I get this (upload never ends):

Connecting to programmer: .avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

Strangely however I can start Serial monitoring having uploaded sketches over wifi. So everything seems to work except upload on the very serial port that provides serial monitoring.

Please give me a hint if possible
