YUN Wireless port works- Serial port doesn't work anymore

I loaded and ran sketches OK using the micro USB serial port. Then I configured the YUN for wireless and can load and run sketches OK using wireless. Problem is I can no loger access the YUN with the micro USB serial port. I can select the correct port in the IDE under tools/port/serial port, but cannot load any sketch. Sketches compile OK, then when I upload I get "Uploading..." and this error message:

Sketch uses 5,890 bytes (20%) of program storage space. Maximum is 28,672 bytes. Global variables use 455 bytes (17%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2,105 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,560 bytes. dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libedit.3.dylib Referenced from: /Applications/Utilities/Arduino/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/tools/avr/bin/avrdude_bin Reason: image not found

Wireless works OK but I cannot upload sketches using the serial port. Shouldn't I be able to choose wireless or serial to upload?

OSX 10.6.8 IDE 1.6.1

just remove your wireless device & upload the code again it must work this time

AMPS: I tried that several times, I still cannot upload with the serial port. Message “image not found”.

Anyone else have this problem? Could the Yun be damaged? Any ideas?

i recommend remove all connection http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoYun

run below basic code share us screen shot of error

Hi,

Possible causes: - The hex file is loaded via wifi script without the bootloader configured properly.

Read Below the cause of the error along the thread. http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=217663.0

Solution: - Load the Caterina.hex as shown below this link

http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=209587.msg1542895#msg1542895

Reload the *.hex file and see. I have the same problem and see this forum.

Best Regards, Leo

Leo, I do not have the Caterina.hex file and could not find it at the link you show. Can you provide the complete file so I can try your suggestion?

Additional info: I connected the YUN to my son's WIN7 computer (no wireless capability) and the IDE 1.6.1 loads sketches with that serial port OK.

Hi tmedved,

try this powerpoint that i have zipped as an example.
You need to download puTTY SSH software for this.
On the 1st slide, you will establish connection.
For instance, that is my Yun’s IP address.
Other setting will remain the same.
after doing all the steps, try to load the Blink sketch from the example via serial port.

Best Regards,
Leo
