ywrobot arduino lcm1602 iic v1 communication speed and address

Hi Everybody,
I have lcd with i2c controller (ywrobot arduino lcm1602 iic v1) and msp430g2553 microcontroller
I wanted to know what is the communication speed and address for this lcd?
I need to adjust my master to fit the lcd's speed
In regard for the address, i tried 0x20-0x27 but none of them seems to work.

Thank you for your help.

Have you tried I2C addresses 0x38 - 0x3F.

Have you looked here --> http://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/LCD-Blue-I2C

Don

Maybe you have an Arduino lying around - then you could hook the display up to it and load the I2C scanner or I2C guesser sketch (use the forum search to find the download links). Those sketches would identify the right address for you and then you can go on with the TI device.

The address range and maximum supported sck clock speed is based on the chip on the backpack and how it is jumpered.
Look at the chip to determine which chip you have then you can look in a datasheet for that specific model of chip to determine it address range and its maximum speed.
Looking this up should only take a couple of minutes.

Knowing how any address jumpers on the PCB affect the specific address can be bit more difficult but from the chip type you will at least know the range of addresses used by that chip and its maximum supported clock rate.
