Z axis wont move

I am in the process of building a 3d printer, I got everything to work exept for the z axis. I have 2 motors but only one of them move. I tested each motor separately and both worked, but not when I have them connected together to the ramps shield.

I am using an arduino mega 2560 and a ramps 1.4 conected to a 12V/10A power adapter. The firmware I am using is marlin 1.1 and the software I am using to try and print is Pronterface.

I am guessing the problem is either software or hardware or a combination of the two.

Hi,
If you swap controller modules over does the fault move?

Do you have a DMM?
