A simple 1/4 watt carbon 1meg resistor has a voltage limit of about 150v.
Can you post a link to that info please. I would use a 1/2 watt.

looks like I was wrong, It was a CFR-12 for a 1/16W,
The 1/4W has a higher working voltage and a higher maximum voltage.
I could scour all resistor manufactures sheets, but I think Yageo is pretty common.
of course the bulk ones you buy from China that are 1,000 for a $1 and free shipping may not have the same quality control.
