As of 2024 I am 78 years old. I was the Chief Engineer in an engineering company mainly doing electronic design and pcbs. Some of the designs had processors but I was no good at writing code. Instead I would write what I wanted to happen and a younger member of the team would then write the software. This worked well but I never did get into writing code. I am using Arduino for an amateur radio project but struggling with the code.
