I am a happily retired manufacturing engineer with a lot of experience in marine navigation systems, including design, machining, wiring, testing, and on and on. I enjoy hands-on-making something out of nothing. My micro processor experience is limited to the Parallax Stamp from about 10 years ago, strictly as a hobbyist. But it was instrumental in my being awarded some patents. It is now time to move on to more modern micro processors. I enjoyed the programming of the Stamp, and hope the Arduino will be the same. I dabble in electronics and machining at home and wish to expand on that. I am building a 50cc model diesel engine and want to build a dyno for testing it. And just for playing, too. Data logging will be brand new for me. I can already tell that most questions have already been answered many times and I will take advantage of that knowledge base before posting "old and annoying" questions.
Some of previous work can be found on my "Airgun Lab" channel on youtube. I have about 40 videos of airguns I have built and pressure and strength testing of tubing and materials.
