Guys do you think I could buy a RTK+GNNS-Antenna and try link it with a programm/software? This would be maybe a bit more expensive but it would be very exact.
edit: with a Selfmade software
The antenna isn't going to help. Look at the Wikipedia article on GPS error - there are atmospheric and other influences that cause the inaccuracy. As long as the GPS is getting sentences from sufficient satellites you'll get the same position whether you have a fancy antenna or not.
The only way to get the accuracy you want is DGPS and from what little I have found googling, it's quite expensive.
@wildbill i think you are not 100% right i said i would use RTK. RTK is a very accurate system +-cm it uses also a GNSS signal. My country would provide next year a free RTK signal for farmer (APOS) so i would like to use it.
RTK is DGPS. If your country is rolling it out for you then you're in great shape. From what I read though each RTK provider has quite a short range so it will be quite an undertaking to get country wide coverage. Which country are you in?
Yea if i donr't missunderstand the GNSS and RTK Signal would be free from the APOS Satelite normally it would cost min 800€ per year. There will also be some reference points. Btw i live in Austria.
Interesting stuff Wikipedia has some details: APOS
As I understand it, the reference points are the crucial piece and there are quite a lot of them. They're more widely spaced than I expected though but if it can give the promised dm or cm accuracy then that's excellent.
Looks like your project is viable after all thanks to your government. I expect the GPS RTK device will be a little more expensive than a plain old GPS.
