Hope all is okay, haven't seen him post in some time. Robin2 has helped me solve multiple challenges over the years during my hardware/software learning journey.
Most recently, I couldn't find any good solutions to use stepper motors with coordinated movement and acceleration (an unfortunate limitation of the AccelStepper library).
I was able to use the foundation he set forth and expand it into working code for a robotics project I'm working on. I posted some re-usable code for anyone else that needs it for their own project. AccelStepper synchronized motors WITH acceleration
I'm sure he'd be happy that someone found his article helpful, and I never got to thank him.
Anyway, just hoping all is well and also wanted to share my gratitude...
Haha wow, I can only imagine! He has helped me a lot...both indirectly where he's provided insight in other people's threads, and directly to me as well...
Fun example: I got married a few years ago, and we have an Indian tradition where the bride's sisters and brothers steal the groom's shoes and hold them ransom, and they don't let him leave the venue with the bride unless he pays up.
I wanted to protect my shoes by flying them away with a drone and putting them in an Arduino based safe-box with a puzzle on each side of the box...Robin2 helped me figure out how to make one of the puzzles act as sort of a "bomb defusal" puzzle where you have to connect the correct wires together in order to succeed... it worked out really well.
That's just one of many instances... I wish I could show him how it turned out!
Would be interested to know, as well. He was a great influence in heling me learning many subjects. Noably, nrf24, steppers, serial comms and milis() for timinng. His teaching stytle made it easy. So if this reaches you, Robin2, Thanks. All other members should know your contributions.
