Two years ago, using an Arduino Mega, I started making a car stereo to replace the old shaft-style AM/FM Radio in my 1977 Toyota Celica Liftback.
It's finally finished, so I thought I'd show it off
I've written a build page on my own site with a lot more info, more photos, source files, design files etc:
I plan to make a demo video of it in action soon (the car's not stored where I'm living right now).

I forgot to show off the volume. It brings up a bar just like the "Brightness" setting when you turn the volume knob.
I also took a wider shot in the car.

do you use an (I2C) RTC for your clock?

Yep, it's the DS1307 breakout board that SparkFun sell.
