here is the simple code
there is no issue in code
void setup() {
// initialize digital pin LED_BUILTIN as an output.
pinMode(LED_BUILTIN, OUTPUT);
}
// the loop function runs over and over again forever
void loop() {
digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH); // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
delay(1000); // wait for a second
digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW); // turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW
delay(1000); // wait for a second
}

Please do this:

- Click "OK"
- Sketch > Verify/Compile
- After the compilation fails, click on the black console pane at the bottom of the Arduino IDE window.
- Press "Ctrl + A". This will select all the text.
- Press "Ctrl + C". This will copy the selected text to the clipboard.
- In a forum reply here, click on the reply field.
- Click the </> button on the forum toolbar. This will add the forum's code tags markup to your reply.
- Press "Ctrl + V". This will paste the compilation output between the code tags.
- Move the cursor outside of the code tags before you add any additional text to your reply.

The code from reply #9 compiles fine.

Please explain what you mean by that. What new software? Is it possible that you confuse "compiled" with "uploaded"?
