Do you have a project, idea, or experience to share? Submit your speaker proposal using the form available at the Arduino Day website. Proposals are accepted through February 25th:
I’m really interested in participating in Arduino Days and I had a few questions about the event. Could you please clarify the different types of activities available and what is expected from participants in each one?
Also, I’d like to know what we would receive if accepted (for example, materials, support, or merchandise), and what we are expected to provide or prepare on our side.
Thank you in advance for the information! I’m looking forward to learning more about the event.
The event organizers are free to choose the activities for their event. We only require that the event be focused on Arduino and held on March 27 and/or 28th.
You will receive the "Arduino Days Digital Kit". The kit contains digital assets you can use in materials for your event.
I have requested more details from the people coordinating Arduino Days about what we are providing to event organizers. I'll add a reply here if I get any additional information from them.
I would say the primary form of support provided by the Arduino company is in promoting the local events. A map of all events is shown on the "Arduino Days" website. We are sharing that website via our social media channels. This will surely provide a significant amount of awareness of your event, in addition your own promotional efforts.
I think that, in general, the expectation is that the local events will be handled autonomously. So you should not expect a significant amount of support from the Arduino company. If there is something you need, you are very welcome to reach out and we'll certainly do our best to assist you.
I was referring to the different activity categories (for example, Workshop, Show-and-Tell, etc.). Could you please explain what is expected for each category and how they differ from one another?
I appreciate you checking with the Arduino Days coordination team regarding what will be provided to event organizers. I will wait for your update on that.
Hi, I work at Ter AA in Helmond, the Netherlands. We would love to participate in Arduino Days as a school. However, we are only able to organize activities on Friday (March 27th) and not on Saturday. Would it be possible to join the event for just one of the two days?
At Ter AA, we work extensively with Arduino in our software development program and are very proud of the projects our students have developed. We would be excited to showcase some of them during the event.
BOH!
Open Day: Community members will meet to celebrate Arduino Day, without any specific agenda for activities. For example, an maker space might invite members to come to the space to celebrate Arduino Day by utilizing the resources of the facility as they like to work on their projects and assist other members.
Show-and-Tell: Community members are invited to share something related to Arduino, such as an Arduino project they created, or story about an experience using Arduino.
Workshop and Live Demo: A workshop that allows participants to learn something Arduino related.
Talk: A formal presentation on an Arduino-related subject.
Ask the Arduino Expert: Someone knowledgeable in Arduino-related subjects makes themself available to answer questions, perhaps conducted in a "Q&A" format.
Thanks for your interest in organizing a local event.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any application request from Puglia Open source . would you mind to send it again? we’ll take care of it . this is the link https://days.arduino.cc/events
