I have a question. Several probably.
First a little background on myself, and the project.
I build high performance chainsaw engines. At this time I am having a small engine dyno built that will measure torque, and therefore horsepower.
I'm wondering if Arduino will work to create an program that can connect a tach, load cell, and temp sensor together and create a system that collect data and.....in the end tell me how much power an engine will make????
Are you asking for applicable sensors, or for calculating the power etc. from the sensor signals?
Can you explain your "small engine dyno", what it does, how you want to use it?

If the sensors are electrically compatible with the Arduino, there should not be a problem.
Do some searching and you are likely to find projects doing at least some of what you want. They can be useful building blocks.

It will need to connect a load cell, RPM sensors, temp sensors, etc.
