Of course they don't intentionally go looking through those posts, but old posts might well show up in the search results. It is true that some of the old posts will contain information that has been rendered obsolete or inaccurate by changes that occurred since the time they were written, but there are certainly types of information that remain equally valuable even after the passage of decades.

Exactly! There is no doubt the Arduino Forum content was part of the training data, and instrumental in the AI's ability to effectively handle Arduino/embedded systems-related requests.
True, but I suspect that most new forum members will, at most, use the obvious "Search Forum" field and get flooded with hits that don't exactly match what they were looking for, particularly if they use a string of words not in quotation marks. The advanced search is better but few new members will use it, or even find it, I suspect
I agree, and this topic proves it. It is fascinating to look back and see what problems users were having years ago, most of which are very familiar
