Arduino Leonardo is being "weird"

every time I try to upload any code to the Leonardo it gives me a message

Connecting to programmer: .
Found programmer: Id = "CATERIN"; type = S

I can't seem to figure out whats going on. Any thoughts?

That is the usual output for a successful upload in IDE 2.x. Don't be fooled by the red colour.
