Hello. I have multiple Arduino Opta’s. I have a device which i most likely have used before or added as a device. This was done in correlation with testing. The device was removed from device manager by me by “deleting” device som device manager in arduino cloud.
Problem im facing is that now i want to add the device again. When i go through “device+” menue and via a thing i get through every step except claiming progress. This shows for 0.5 second and then show “Claiming failed”. See picture below:
I have tried QPSI format skript, different usb port on pc, updated arduino cloud agent (1.7 earlier 1.6.xx). The device is litt during the whole procidure.
Because of this problem this Arduino Opta RS485 is now useless unless there is a way for me to “re-claim” the device.

Hi @christianbugge.
Is it possible you used it with a different Arduino Cloud account?
Having previously created a Device from the Opta is not expected to cause a problem for creating a new Device, as long as you first delete the previously created Device from your account. You say you already did that, but it might be that there is another Device you created from the Opta under a different account. For security purposes, the new claiming system enforces that a Device can not be created from a board that has already been associated with a Device owned by any Arduino Cloud account.
Hi ptillisch.
Thank you so much for a quick response. And im glad to inform that when i tried to add device on another computer it worked. I can not really explain why this happens. Only difference i know of is that on the other computer i solely use Google Chrome. While on my main computer i have opted to use Opera GX, but not long ago i was forced to only use google chrome for arduino cloud stuff since the agent didnt work on Opera GX.
I am not sure why this is, but im glad its not something else wrong.
Thanks. Best Regards Christian
Great news. Thanks for taking the time to post an update. I don't have access to an Opta, but I did do a test of creating a Device from a Portenta H7 using Opera GX on a Windows machine. It was successful. So this indicates that there is at least not a fundamental incompatibility between Arduino Cloud and Opera GX (though it is possible there is one under specific conditions I did not replicate).
