I was working with my arduino last night. I uploaded a sketch just fine, and when I went to upload a different one, the serial port was no longer there. I have tried everything imaginable to get it to work. (Different cord, different computer, etc.) My esplora works fine on both machines.
The first computer was a Mac on OS 10.9.1 And the second was a vista laptop.
Any Ideas?
*The Broken Arduino Is an Uno R2
It runs the sketch I had on it before, and the 5v and 3.3v work fine
The serial port no longer shows up? Could be a problem with drivers. Or the USB-Serial chip is fried. Could you post a picture of your board?
Here it is, Sorry for the low quality. I believe it is actually the R3.
I can provide a higher res if neccassary
The picture is a little tough to read, since it is a mirror image. But I think it is a R3. Can you post a screenshot of Device Manager with it plugged in?
I could not find the arduino anywhere
If the Arduino was going to show up anywhere it would be under "USB". If it doesn't show up there your USB-to-Serial chip isn't working. You may be able to recover it by re-burning the firmware. You can upload the ATmega16u2 chip with Direct Firmware Update mode. Google for: Arduino DFU
Will do. Any Idea what caused it?

You have not yet determined what 'it' is. It's too early to guess at a cause.
