Arduino shield with modem

Hello,

I am planning a project of a meteorological station that will be located in placed that won't have acces to wifi, so I have the doubt of if it would be possible to use an Arduino ethernet shield connected to a modem like this one AirLink / Raven series . I would like to know if it is possible to use this to get acces to the data of the sensors in the station.

I am not seeing where that is a modem. It says it is a gateway.
I wouldn't be designing in a product that already has a EOL notice.

When the required CDMA cellular phone service is available at the intended location, the modem can be used. Otherwise you also may use SMS or some other standard service for data transmission.

Ok perfect, the CDMA is available, so I hope it would work fine.
