Arduino UNO Q (QRB2210) U-Boot support

Hi all,

In the official arduino uboot repository (GitHub - arduino/u-boot · GitHub) I've found QRB2210 device trees needed for Arduino Uno Q, but there is no _defconfig pointing on something nearly similar.
How do I compile u-boot for UNO Q?

UPD: So far I was able to find this great project: GitHub - jimsynz/buildroot: Temporary fork of buildroot while I add support for the Arduino UNO Q · GitHub But it does much more, than I need.

Ok. Here are two possible solutions:

  1. Use this patched buildroot repository to build U-Boot for qrb2210 (aka arduino uno Q or imola): GitHub - KozhinovAlexander/buildroot at arduino_uno_q · GitHub The u-boot binaries seems to be correct, but I was not able to get it running.
  2. Use this repository GitHub - KozhinovAlexander/qnx8-bsp-qualcomm-arduino-uno-q · GitHub with make bootloader_flash command. It will expect the board beeing in EDL mode. All the bootloader binaries were extracted from original arduino linux delivery. Skim through Makefile - you'll be able to find commands to create your own bootloader copy from lates aruino linux.
After bootlader flashing Arduino UNO Q boot to u-boot and images can be uploaded with fastboot.

Hey Alexander. I just wanted to comment on here real quick as I am currently part of a group of students working on a similar project funnily enough the past few weeks, so fun to see other people also in this area

I am currently doing a write up on how exactly you load a custom version of u-boot onto the Uno Q. But for building u-boot you simply use the qcom_defconfig from the arduino/u-boot repository. It has support for the Arduino Uno Q and when flashing this it "Just worked".

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Thank you. This makes sense. Marked it as solution. Does eth in u-boot also worked for you?
