i want to controll one 1m LED Strip WS2812 (100LEDs) with an Arduino Uno R4.
I did some research, found some topics but not for an Uno R4. To avoid doing damages to my Board (and i am using ChatGPT only) i want to crosscheck the suggestion of ChatGPT.
Chat GPT wrote, that i should not run the 100LED via the Arduino (Connecting 5V, GND and digital pin for data). som bla bla bla appeard that i honestly dont understand.
My Powerbank has 3 Outputs. Each with 5V and 3A.
ChatCPT suggestes:
Powerbank Port 1 > USB-C > Arduino USB-C (to power the Arduino)
Powerbank port 2
-5v to 5v of LED strip
-GND to GND of LED strip and any GND Ping of Arduino.
-Data pin (green) to any data pin of Arduino for signal.
Which at full bright White require 36mA per pixel, X 100 = 3.6A
No please not. Actually i suggest you power half of the LEDs on one port and the other haf on another connecting only GND & Data between them. The current draw of the R4 is not much compared to the LEDs so you cold just hook that to the same port as the first half of the strip, but not run the power 'Thru' the Arduino.
The actual LED Strip has 100 LEDs but i might cut some of them off as i dont need them. For testing i would also use only half of the brightness. In the end i have to avoid using DC power as this is a mobile setup running on powerbanks. If this only allows me XYZ amount of LEDS, that i have to do this
No i did not. I also have no idea how to do that. Thats what Amazon is writing:
100 LEDs, 0.3W/Led, 0,06A/Led. Max brightness will be tested but could be around 50% - 75%
In no way will AI be better than actual intelligence. AI will combine all sorts of answers it can find, but this also includes all incorrect answers. To be short about it. They are both equally crap.
For someone who is just trying something from ideas it will work. My project is not that complicated and it is solved 100% via ChatGPT. Now i just want to implement LEDs to it. So the basecode is 100% working and i paid nothing. So i cant talk about incorrect answers: If the final sketch is workine fine, AI is definatelly a option. And i am sure if i hire someone at fivrr, they are also using AI.
You should size your battery/powerbank with a little extra margin. So if you do 75% then I suggest a battery that can supply at least 5A. If you ever do 100% then a battery/powerbank that can supply at least 6.6A is recommended.
NOTE: Some powerbanks will turn off after a preset time if you don't draw enough current.
