Auto switch on/off from vibration sensor? with timer?

Hi everyone!
First of all, my apologies for my ignorance. I'm just discovering this wonderful world, and bought my first arduino to experiment. I love it!

I have an idea but I don't really know what to look for ... I'm posting this if anyone would be kind enough to put me on the right way.
For my project I need a system that lets current flow automatically, when vibrations are detected, but without consuming after a defined time.

Let me explain,
I have a USB module, which I would like to be independent. When it detects vibrations I would like it to turn on automatically. But after (for example 2 hours) it turns off.
Anyone know what components I need? What should I find? Apart from a vibration sensor.

Thank you very much for your reading and in advance, thank you for your time and for your feedback.

Alex

From what I have found on the web a 30N06L would be useful. I don't know how to use it at the moment, I have to buy one. But what about the timer? If this is a good idea.

For a timer have a look at my tutorial How to write Timers and Delays in Arduino

This is the place to learn. I would suggesting explaining in engineering terms the best you can what you are trying to do, include a schematic (hand drawn is ok), not a frizzy thing. What is the 30N06L going to be used for, it is a good part. When you purchase one get several they can be blown if not properly handled or connected. you state" I have a USB module, which I would like to be independent. Is that the an Arduino? What model? Schematics are hard at first but you can convey more information in a simple one then in several paragraphs of words and it is universally understood by those skilled in electronics. I would suggest you do an electronics and or an arduino tutorial each day for the next few months, you will learn a lot and the number of ideas you get will be unreliable. Main thing HAVE FUN!
