Regarding the trimming idea, I have thought about it and I saw it implemented on other submarine projects. For me, if you see the final design using two ballast tanks, I will use them for both trimming and diving, no need to add an extra device due to space constraints caused by the battery pack placed lower in the keel.
Sorry for that, my intention was to add more relevant information to better understand what I am trying to achieve with this project and with the final setup.

That is true, but for the "pump controller" I need to read train signals from the receiver and act accordingly: automatic vs manual operation of the diving procedure, several sensors like laser, hall sensors, pressure sensors to be read and act to have the logic in place. Several safety feature to be implemented: low battery, depth control and pressure leakage, just to name a few. I am only scratching the surface...
