Hello All,
I was wondering if someone had some experience with BT audio modules? I've been doing some research for the past few days and keep getting to my wits end.
My end project in mind is a portable music player with wifi connection. I know, before you say "go buy one off Ali or Bangood", I'd want some extra functionality than most of those can offer.
My data path would be something like this:
[BT Source(example phone audio)] > [BT Sink transceiver] [i2c/UART] > uC [SAMD/LX6 w/ wifi] > DAC 24bit [UDA1334] > AMP [TPA3118]
I've looked at few BT modules:
RN4871 > Can't do audio, only serial data
BM62 > $10.14 USD, kinda high
CSR8645 > Some have built in amp ICs, so maybe send to ADC > uC > DAC?
M18, M28, M38 > M18 looks cool, but again analog out. I do wonder what the IC is, MH-M18. Can't seem to find it so see if it can be reprogrammed/configured. Perhaps AT commands?
And even considered a few BT components to build my own, but decided I'd rather not since I don't want to mess around with RF designing/FCC stuff.
The BT mocules with analog out from the BT modules, I'm concerned with what resolution the DAC is.
I'd like the audio data to pass though the uC with the hopes of changing EQ on it.
So if anyone can throw down some names of some BT modules or experiences with what they tried would be great!
