Bluetooth with HID - helping disabled person

Gents,

Need help in choosing hardware - I see there is specific hardware required for HID, I have limited knowledge of this. I can handle writing the code (basically a user interface to keyboard strokes). Does the bluetooth module AND Arduino board both need to be HID? Everything I find seems to be discontinued.

Please recommend an appropriate bluetooth HID module to go with a Leonardo, or Micro OR a complete controller with Bluetooth and HID capability.

what you try to build? wireless keyboard?

It is a morse code to keystroke converter. I have a friend who is stricken with parkinsons and can no longer speak, he is an old ham operator and says he can move his fingers to send morse code on an iambic keyer. Any controller will handle this simple application, but I need HID capability so if he changes phones or computers we wont have cabling issues. - I have the encoding worked out but have little experience with bluetooth and more specifically HID. Needs to be seen by his phone as a bluetooth keyboard.

ESP32 and arduino keyboard library.

Thank you sir

i have seen library to let arduino spelling common words
