Hello,

I am thinking of buying the "JY-MCU Arduino Bluetooth Wireless Serial Port Module" so that I can build a remote controlled car. I am planning on using a mobile phone as the controller. Can anyone tell me which BT profiles this HW supports? There seems to be no documentation for this. From the BT website it seems that most mobile phones do not support the SPP profile, although most Ardunio modules use this profile.

Define 'most mobile phones'. Android natively supports SPP.

yes, you're right. I was reading pretty old docs. At least Android and Symbian support SPP. I'll just assume that the BT module uses that too.
