Buck Converter Switching Frequency

Hello Guys

I am designing a buck converter for battery charging through solar panel. Panel specs are given below.
Open Circuit Voltage of PV = 22 V
Short Circuit Current of PV = 4.12 A

Questions are:

  1. What should be the switching frequency of my MOSFET driving the buck converter? And what is the effect of switching frequency on buck converter?
  2. How should I determine the value of Inductor and output Capacitor to keep the buck in Continuous Current Mode? I need simplest equations for that.
  3. I need to know, if my buck converters lowers the input voltage, is current supposed to increase in order to keep the Power in = Power out??? I'd appreciate reference of experimental results.
