Can I put a DC Motor right over an Buck Converter ?

Hello falks,

I've a question regarding a Buck Converter:

Can I put a 6V DC Motor right over an 5V BuckConverter ?

By the way: the BC is placed tight under the motor itself (not under the gear system).

I am asking because both produce magnetic fields. See picture:

I believe it should work just fine. I am assuming there is only a few amps involved by looking at your converter picture.

Hi. Thanks. Only 100mA for the Motor, and 70mA for an 5V USB.

The BuckConv is only converting 6V to 5V for the USB I just mentioned.

Check the data sheet for that converter, it may need more then 6V to output 5V. I always use SEPIC (Buck/Boost) converters and do not have that worry.

I bought it from Aliepress, so I do not have a proper datasheet. I have to say that it actually works. But sometimes it does not gibe an output dispite an input of 6V.

What is SEPIC ? Can you give me a link for Aliexpress please ? As I said: I need to convert 6V to 5V with a maximum of 0.5A

Here is a link to the ones I just purchased. You can look for similar with a lower amp rating. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806314583267.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.65dd1802lqKPPF&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

Try this link it works for me, I just tested it. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805462889180.html?spm=a2g0o.home.0.0.468a76dbREx9Qt&mp=1&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

Your link works for me. They have several entrances to there servers and different countries probably come on different machines.

Okay thanks man :+1: btw: the link should be look like this:

Your link directs to a non-existing website. Greetings from Germany to the land of the free
