Hi. I saw several projects using PC9685 controller boards for controlling servos. Knowing that the staling current of an MG966R is 2.5A how can the board handle 2or 3 servos starting at the same time when it’s rated for 400mA.
Or does an external power supply using the V+ pin for the servos go directly to the servos and thus those 400mA do not matter ?
Exactly. Only signal passes the chip.
Be aware that some current limits there are for pcb traces.
2-3 966R is fine, but if you need more, power them directly and pass only signal through your controller board.
