CD4094 Shift Register Voltage Drop Problem

Hi, i have a project that contains daisy chained CD4094 shift register. VDD pin and Output enable pins are connected to a 5V power supply. But output pins does not provide 5 V, they provide 2.6-2.7 V in average. Is this normal or something wrong ? Because I have tried only 1 CD4094 and it outputs 5 V same with VDD. When daisy chained, this voltage drops off by %50 approximately. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Schematic please; what are those 4094s driving?

Hi,
Why didn't you just continue the thread from here? ? ?
The 4094 specs told you why you can't drive a load with it.

I gave you a solution 74HC595.....

Dudee  how did you find me ? :stuck_out_tongue: anyway the reason i didnt do that, this is another problem that i need to solve independently from optocoupler. Besides i have 100 pcb ready to use with the cd4094.

Didn't you prototype it first? :o :o :o
If you have a PCB made, where is your schematic?

Did you check output with the oscilloscope, maybe it oscillates?

My thoughts exactly on the OPs other thread.

Why did u start this thread with good suggestions in the other?
