CHRG Led after some time

Hello good morning.

The question is very basic. I have been developing some scripts with alarms and then I realize when I use an usb charger the CHRG led started blinking after 3/4 hours of execution.

To simplify the problem I loaded the build in blink example and tried again, the same happen after some time the chrg led starts blinking.

To simplify furthemore the problem I've been trying with the build in blink example having the arduino connected to the computer and again the same happen.

Could be a cable problem or am I understanding something bad about having the arduino connected only with the USB?

You are OK, you just got a funny charger. The Arduino should run for as long as it has power and is not zapped.

I'll try with another cable. But this happens also when the arduino board is connected to the computer. So i dont think the problem is the charger?

I tried with another cable and it happens the same, after a hour or so the chrg starts to blink.

Do you have battery connected? If so, is the polarity correct? If you have no battery, have you attempted it to run with battery in the past? Have you done anything that could have damaged charging chip? Flashing charge LED means there is a fault. No

No that I am aware of.

I will try to recover the register using Read a register and I will post the result.

Because it is a separate chip you will need to connect to it via I2C I suppose, but would be interesting to know how it went

Have you figure out how to solve the problem?

I got 2 mkr1000 and both have the same problem.

When the CHRG led starts blinking mkr also stops sending messages through wifi.
