Coding Adafruit Circuit Playground on Chrome

Dear wonderful Arduino Create team,
I work with a collection of 32 experienced CS teachers around the country who are integrating physical computing via electronic textiles in their classes. We use the Adafruit Circuit Playground Classic because it's easily sewable and has so many delightful features onboard.

Currently we are running into a significant problem for the many schools that only provide chromebooks for their students— codebender is going out of business in November 2022. We subscribed to them for years - since 2017/2018. Now that capability will be gone.

Is there any way you know of (or perhaps a capability you would consider adding) to code the Circuit Playground Classic on the Chrome App? Or might you consider expanding the boards used on Arduino Create on the Chrome App? [We have chosen not to go the route of MakeCode and the CP Express because our high school teachers and students really do find straight up Arduino is a better transition to more advanced computing courses.]

Open to any advice. We have over 1000 students from rural Mississippi to South Side Chicago and suburban San Jose who may be dependent on finding a solution.

Hello! I am soooo grateful for the changes this summer to the Chrome App for Arduino. I posted in July about this, but the issue is still relevant after the changes to the Web Editor and Chrome App. We have ~30 teachers trying to implement electronic textiles with Arduino via the Adafruit Circuit Playground Classic who may not be able to implement the unit because the Classic isn't support on the Chrome App now that codebender has gone out of business (Arduino app is better anyway, but codebender had been our only option for chromebook classrooms and now it's completely gone).

Is there any chance to make that addition? The Express is on there, but not the Classic.

OR - does anyone know other options for coding the CP Classic if one is limited to Chromebooks?
