Coin Sorter and Counting

Hello guy's i probably don t post where is good , sorry about that .
I just made a coin sorter and counter using a TCRT5000 sensor for a project, but i need now to do another s without using that sensor . And i don t know another s way s to do that , i need another s constructive alternative like 2 more , and i can t find anything on the internet .
If someone have any idea of what i can use i will appreciate , and please someone move this topic in the right section :slight_smile:

A common way of sorting coins is weight and size.

Size by making the slots the correct size; weight can be done with a spring loaded switch: too light weight (coins are heavy for their size) and it's probably not a coin and thus not counted.

Capacitive is yet another option, if light based is not allowed.
